Its raining now to help cool things off. Noah Cornman will again race at Charlotte Motor Speedway tonight. His race will be one of the later ones - probably around 10 P.M. Let’s everyone go out and cheer on the #30 car in the Outlaw division of Bandelero races.

Congratulations to Noah Cornman #30 still coming in as a top contender on Tuesday nights at the Shootout Series held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway! Go Noah! Today, our baby blue birds are starting to hatch. I opened the nest box up just enough to see 1 baby and the other eggs were still intact. We have another clutch of 5 in a nesting box in our front yard. I will be sure to have my camera ready to capture their arrival. We had a storm system blow past us this afternoon. The weather forecasters are calling for cooler weather the next few days. We have good camping sites available for you to enjoy beautiful days and an array of activities!

We have great camping sites for the Deff Leppard show at the Verizon Amphitheatre and Charlotte Motorspeedway events this week.

Tonight Noah Cornman races again at the Summer Shootout at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. He is in the Outlaws division. Last week, Noah came in 5th. After a technicality with another driver, Noah placed 4th! Congratulations Noah. Every week, Noah is moving up in the standings! It is going to be hot today but it should cool down a lot for the race. Please try to go out tonight and support Noah!

I got some great shots of an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly in our Mimosa tree and a Zebra Swallowtail butterfly in the Butterfly bush. I aslo got a shot of the Mexican Pansies.

This has been a wonderful day. There is a nice breeze and it is very pretty now.We had lunch on Union Street in Concord. Union Street is a great place to explore as it is the main drag in the historic town. ( Check my attractions page for more on downtown Concord.) We ate at Ellie’s Cafe & Deli.  The entrees were delicious and healthy and a great value. You can’t beat that. The owner was extremely gracious and the whole experience was top notch. You can give them a call at 704-788-1258 for the hours. They are open for breakfast and lunch Monday thru Saturday.

Tonight Noah Cornman is racing his Bandelero car at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. He raced at the Concord Motor Speedway 2 days ago and did really well. He won his Heat and came in 6th place overall. This was his first time at that track and he just moved up an age division. It was the 16th race of the season at the Concord track and most of the other drivers had some experience under their belts. Noah and his supporters are thrilled that he performed so admirably. Noah is racin’ ready for tonight!

We are ready for the Phish concert this weekend at the Verizon Amphitheatre. We have several groups of tent campers coming. We have nice shady sites, a fire pit and porta potties. Water is available for cooling down. Ice and amenties are available at the end of our street.  Its a $10 cab ride to Verizon as it is just down the road. Nikki brought me this  box turtle, after I thought she would scare everything off.  I saw a moth and noticed that some blackberries were ready for harvest. I caught a photo of this well-fed lizard on my back porch. The Queens Anne’s Lace is pretty but beware of bugs!
