Enjoy absolutely great weather here. Admire Charlotte the Guinea Hen – who adopted us! Celebrate Father’s Day here at Yates Family Camping. Go on a Race tour or visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame. There are always activities to keep you entertained here in the Charlotte area. We would love to have you come and make us your place to relax this summer. We wish you safe travels and we hope to see you here!

June and July events are now posted. There are some great concerts at Verizon Amphitheater and as always there is the Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Take a look at the attractions tab also. There is a huge variety of activities in our area and Yates Family Camping is just the place to be near fun and exciting entertainment.

Yates Family Camping had a great bunch of NASCAR fans here over Memorial Day weekend. We enjoyed seeing everyone and meeting newcomers. The weather was really nice. My favorite part of the weekend was hearing Roaul LAUGH and talk with those enjoying coffee on the back porch. My neck/head/shoulder ache kept me from visiting as much as I would have liked. But it was wonderful hearing all of you out there having a fantastic time. We can’t wait to see you again in October or next May. Thank you all for making Yates Family Camping your choice for your NASCAR headquarters!

A hearty THANK YOU to everyone who came out this weekend. What a great crowd!  Everyone of you loved staying with us as we loved having you. Thank you guys for sharing the great food with us. The chicken was superb and the marinated hamburgers were delicious. The clouds kept the heat down and the few raindrops didn’t seem to dampen anyone’s spirits, all of you had a good time. And it was great for us to be a part of your festivities. Also a huge THANK YOU to Roaul for ensuring everyone had a great time. Where else but Yates Family Camping do you get the service Roaul provides? Whether its giving directions, pumping up your friend’s tire, finding a gasket for a hose, helping level a camper, or just being available to help, Roaul is there to give a hand. Roaul also has coffee on the back porch on race day mornings. We hope to see you all back next year or any time of the year. Thank you Roaul and Thank you everyone!

Happy Holidays everyone! Great day here at Yates Family Camping. It was a beautiful day. Wonderful weather. We still have some prime RV sites available close to everything Charlotte has to offer. The Christmas lights at Charlotte Motor Speedway are a huge success. Dec. 26,NASCAR Hall of Fame has an Undeck the Halls. Check out their web site for the low down. See our events calendar for more activities. Sincere wishes to all for the best holiday ever – now that we all survived the Mayan end of time calendar. Please remember the reason for the season – God’s love for us. Let’s all be charitable to those around us in the coming year, relying on patience and love to endure the challenges placed before us .For us it looks to be a stressful year with our elderly family. My prayer is to give my loved ones extra care and attention. Lets ring in 2013 with lots of changes for the better! We love you guys!

Nascar Hall of Fame is having an Undeck the Hall on December 26th.With the purchase of a ticket, you will be able to select a goodie from a Christmas tree. You could be a big winner with this promotion!

There is a host of great activities and shows this month. Check out the events tabs for Christmas events and December events. There were so MANY that I had to make 2 separate lists! I’ve also added two new recipes. Sopapilla Cheesecake, which is wonderful and easy to make, and a Hash Brown Casserole dish which is super easy and tasty.Its time to enjoy life and loved ones. We have added an American Flag outside and a few Christmas decorations. You will find that Yates Family Camping is a convenient place to spend the hoildays with everything at your fingertips. We look forward to seeing you here this month!

Area events are now posted for September. The Democratic National Convention starts off the month with a flurry of events. The Cabarrus County fair comes to town the second week. The NHRA starts Friday the 14th. The Food Lion Auto Fair begins on the 20th. Charlotte’s Festival  in the Park takes off on the 21st. The UNCC’s International Festival finishes off the month on the 29th. The Verizon Amphitheatre hosts Kelly Clarkson and the Weenie Roast on the 12th and 16th respectively. The Yiasou Greek Festival is an adored Charlotte tradition on the 13th -16th. Be sure to check our events tab for an astounding array of activities. You won’t be disappointed!
