ALL MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE. YOU REALLY CANNOT MESS THIS RECIPE UP BY NOT USING THE EXACT MEASUREMENTS.
4 CUPS SLICED FARMER’S MARKET PEACHES
1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR OR A LITTLE LESS IF PEACHES ARE REALLY SWEET
1 1/2 STICKS MARGARINE (DO NOT USE LIGHT MARGARINE)
1 CUP MILK
2 CUPS SELF RISING FLOUR OR ENOUGH TO MAKE A THIN BATTER
Turn oven on to 350. Place the margarine in a deep 9×13 cooking pan. Place in oven to melt while peeling peaches.
Place 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl. Peel and slice a peach. Add it to the sugar and stir to coat. Repeat with the rest of the peaches until you have 4 cups peaches.
Pour sugar coated peaches into pan with melted margarine. Using only enough flour to make a thin pancake type batter, add sugar and milk. Whisk to blend and pour over peaches.
Bake approximately 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with ice-cream.
