We wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving week. We are so very grateful for all our guests here at our campground this year. It has been a pleasure meeting everyone and getting to know such a great group of people. We have the most awesome guests here. Today I put out new thistle feeders for the American Goldfinches. I have not been seeing them lately.The new feed brought them right back. According to www.enature.com ,  these finches wait until July to nest. They have to wait for the thistles to make their nests. Then they feed on the thistle seeds.

Noah Cornman came in 7th at the Summer Shootout at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. We enjoyed going to the races. It was a lot of fun. Noah started in the lead but fell behind by getting loose in turn 2. He managed to avoid a wrecked car. It was really nice seeing the action on the big screen. The winners were showcased on the big screen. The winner of this race acted like a pro by thanking all his sponsers, supporters and family! There was a short rain shower and then the school buses came out. Those buses were all over the place bumping one another. The legends cars raced later and then there were fantastic fireworks. Hope you can come and support #30 onTuesday!

Roaul caught a pair of Carolina Anoles in courtship. The red dewlap is shown to attract the female. Check out Wikipedia for more information on this cool lizard. At night, a flashlight on its shiny skin will look like yellow refective paint. So if you see me out with my flashlight - I will give you one guess as to what I am up to!
