Roaul and Cyndi Yates grew up in the area and built their home in 1980. The campground was added in 2003.  The land was adjacent to a large family farm that grew cotton, corn and peaches and included raising cattle and dairy farming. Now, the location is a peaceful retreat from its active community. The Yates enjoy music, gardening, traveling, Native American Culture and appreciate the natural world. They have a guinea hen , an aquarium and enjoy watching the many birds that visit the outdoor feeders in their National Federation Wildlife Certified habitat. The Yates’ children, Lola and Kevin are often available to assist campground guests. It is their desire to become your preferred destination and to make you feel welcome and at home at Yates Family Camping!
